ABOUT THE MUSIC SCHOOL
Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmed Cultural Centre is a beacon of socio-cultural exchange that creates an inspiring environment through its support of a wide spectrum of cultural, artistic and literary events. It makes creativity and innovative thinking accessible to all in the State of Kuwait.
Introducing stimulating and contemporary musical curricula from original global contributions, to create an enjoyable educational experience and ensure continuity.
The School promotes Western and Arabic music, offering a wide range of programmes and specializations. The instructional concentration studies include western instruments such as the Violin, Viola, Cello, Flute, Clarinet, and Piano, whilst the Arabic curriculums focus on Oriental Takht instruments, including the Oud, Nay, Qanun, and Oriental Violin. Students also explore solfege (reading music), Arabic singing, and vocal exercises.
Harnessing the musical talents of children in Kuwait.

Establishing a National Youth Chamber Orchestra and an Arabic Music Band for the children and youth, to perform concerts on a regular basis and promote music as a social activity.

The school year is divided into two semesters. Each semester is 14 weeks.
